Trophy Walleye Fishin Charters
« on: January 12, 2011, 02:19:19 PM »
I want to book a charter for my father and I so he has an opportunity to catch a trophy walleye, He just started his first round of chemotherapy yesterday so it is going to have to wait till like march or april but I want to book it in advance so he has something to look forward to during all those tough days that he has ahead of him, so if any of you have any experience fishin walleyes or know a guide that is exceptional please let me know. Thanks...

there is another down in that area, last name roberts.  Myself and 3 Army buddies paid for him in advance drove all the way down there, was supposed to meet at 6am showed up at 830am, still drunk. Left from the dock lost his net because he did not secure it. Fished half the day caught one perch and a small mouth, came back in did not pick his trolling motor up out of the water. I watched it patiently until it broke loose and then said hey don't forget to pick your motor up (KARMA, it gets you everytime)..

Feb/ Mar are good times for the big females coming in, but the weather can get bad on you quickly.

Good luck fishing.

Thanks a bunch guys, I would be interested in that info Jim if there are trophy walleyes to catch, we are both from Wisconsin so  just catching them isn't want I want, I'd like him to catch a BIG one or 10 if you know what I mean, the native spearing in Wi is like the gill nets here so there are fewer BIG ones left !!

Yeah Thanks Joe, I will avoid "Roberts" at all costs, sorry you had to experience that nonsense !!

JIMKD8 I'll take any info I can get but would prefer not just picking a name off the internet, not everyone knows what they are doing, *note Joes story !!

Thanks again, hopefully things will go well enough so my dad can make this appointment !!!

If you’re interested I’d be glad to take you guys out. We have great success on the Columbia. I would be available in May or June which isn’t the best time for a 16lber but we see a lot in the 9-12lb range that time of year.

I’m not a guide so this trip wouldn’t cost you anything.

If you’d like to go or prefer to hire a guide, send me a PM. There are only two guides that I would I recommend.

This would be in the Tri-cities/McNary area of the Columbia

we'll have to try and do that. I've slacked off on Walleye fishing the last couple of years but I'm going to try a little harder this year.
