7 foot Bear rug done ( Charlies Taxidermy)
« on: January 11, 2011, 04:56:03 PM »
This is a bitter sweet rug I just got finished completely. The customer that killed this bear was very ill. So Ill , that I got a phone call asking if there was anyway to get the rug done enough for him to see . I worked my but off to get it presentable (all the felt betting and backing done) and I quickly got it painted some what but not epoxied or finished completely, so that his boys could get the rug over for him to see. He passed not long after he got to see his rug .  Its been a few months and now the rug has been officially completed. Anyway, enjoy the pictures. Its a real nice bear. RIP Jim.

Looks great Chuck. Glad to hear that he was able to see it before he passed.

Bucklucky does that rug have rings on the bottom sewn in the felt so a person can hang the rug on the wall?

Yes it does, just got them sewn on last night along with another bear rug that I almost have done.

That looks really good Charlie, and good for you bustin it out for the fella to get a look at before he passed on.
I didn't say it was your fault, I said I was blaming you.
If I ageed with you, then we'd both be wrong.
