Very nice. What a super buck. Looks like a great area...I realy envy you folks on the east side of the state. I realy love that dry open country. Finding sheds on the west side can be realy frustrating..There are places over here that a person can do well, But just to mt. bike in some where that you know hold animals and start looking can be a very frustrating with all the foliage and underbrush.... I've gone over around Glenwood to go turkey hunting and  found 7 in one day not even looking for sheds. I have spent 12 hours in a day zig zaging throungh the ferns and oregon grape, and briars to get absolutley nada...

muledude - you said it!  We have to work extra hard to find very few out here in this thick brush, cluttered clear cuts where every dry limb looks like a main beam, and reprod where you practically need a headlamp at mid-day to see anything.  Here's my best match set of blacktail sheds found this past January in the reprod.  Amazingly, I also have the left side from '06 as well.  I found it about 100 yards as the crow flies down the ridge in a thicket.  The first photo was taken looking out of the reprod uphill, toward the open timber/ferns (where it was light!).  The ATL photo was taken from the exact same spot but shooting into the reprod...with a flash at high noon on a sunny day!!  You can hardly see in there and those antlers are chocolate brown.  I was very lucky to find these even though it was wide open.  I found another fork from '06 as well.  I've never found four blacktail sheds in one season on public land.  Also, my trailcams never captured this big buck even though they had been collecting deer photos since October.

That second pic would have got my vote for photo of the month.  Nice finds and great photography.  I was up in the corner withthe fresh snow yesterday.  Nothing that nice, maybe one set of nice muleys.
