I thought the title said "Incoming WOODLES".  I opened it trying to figgure out what a "woodle" was.  :chuckle:  I must need glasses.

Those are my favorite ducks, even the females are really pretty. Nice pictures bone, you should do a duck calendar. Those pics gave me a woody. :chuckle:

THANKS guys!   Probably will have one next year.  I was shooting at 2.8 because of the acute lack of light and keeping the shutter speed above 500.  Anything else is blurred.

I have heard that when it comes to humming birds you keep the flash on so you can capture the wings.  does the flash make a difference for the ducks as they come in at 60MPH?

I don't use a flash Seth.  One, its farther away then say shutting a hummer, and two, I want to shoot in Raw so I can compensate for the crappy light.  Also, when using flash you get like one shot instead of several.

Sure.   Let me know which one you like and what size you are thinking, or give me a week.  I am going to try to get some more with a little better light.

Great shots, Bone.  Looks like challenging conditions, but you got the job done.  Crisp focus.  What focus mode are you using?
