Where is everyone from?
« on: April 23, 2008, 06:05:18 PM »
As you can see, I'm a newbie, and I'm just wondering where everyone considers their territory.

My folks live in Cashmere, so I usually stick to the Mission Creek canyons, lower Blewett, and the Entiat Area.

Originally from Tenino. Moved to Ellensburg, now I'm in Seattle, and in June I will be returning to the Olympia area.

I've been stuck in southern CA for the last five years, so no real chance to pick up sheds.  However, in May 2009, I'm done with So Cal FOREVER.  Should be making my way back up to WA (UW LAW).

I think there are a couple topics about this on here but what the heck......my bootprints have graced most of this state, especially eastside.  I was born and raised in the Methow, lived and worked in Chewelah Colville for 6 years, and Now I live in Yakima.  I haven' tapped too much intot eh Blues, but I have fished heavily most of the westside.

I'm from Nevada. I moved to Washington State in 1995 at Ft Lewis coming from Hunter Army Air field in Georgia.

I stayed at the base until 1997. Then I moved to Colorado and back to Nevada until 2000. At that time I moved back to Washington and stayed. I like to hunt around the Stevens Pass area... well more like a little on both sides of it. Sort of...

How is the bear hunting up in the Alpines?  I've always thought of hiking up in there and chasing bears, but I've never gotten around to it.  Been up around 8-mile Lake quite a bit, but I've never seen any bear sign.  Possibly too early in the year though, since we usually try and hit the lake right after the thaw.

I got red hair but I'm not a Carlson.

Yes there is alot of bear sign in the Alpine Lakes. Seems like every wet spot had bear sign where I was. Real thick timber, some meadows, but cant give up my spot. Seen bears in the rocks too.
