I would agree Powder scale Pholiota.

Long, go get yourself a copy of the National Audubon Society Field Guide to North American Mushrooms. This is one of the best books out there with good color photos, and other ways to assist you in identifying shrooms. Great fat little book, full of info.

I would be feel uncomfortable just posting pics and saying "there you go, go eat em'!" There is more to identifying a mushroom than simply a picture; IE, size, what it is feeding on, time of year, gill style, cap style, spore, even odor.

I think I got my copy of this book at a National Forest Service Office...probalby have them at any mega book store.
