here's my CJ-5 totally stock atop Kalispell peak in east of Colville, spun a bearing last fall so redoing it with a 4.0L head and fuel injection. also have another CJ-5 on the 10-year plan, just don't have time or money for all my projects. couldn't resist the old-school slots and 31x10.50s, has a hydraulic winch up front. kids love it!

Nice CJ. I had a bright red '82 that I bought off the showroom floor when I was single. Drove it for years. What a great vehicle it was. God I miss that rig.
Can't we all just get along?

I want to build an LJ like that. You didnt do long arms?

Thanks, I did not do long arms on it yet…  ;) This is the build up thread on how we did it-

I also re-built a 1943 Bantam trailer to help me get animals out.  Build thread on it-

Very cool restoration.   I might have done a little more welding to protect the hang on light. I ALWAYS cush those damn things!  :bash: Your probably a better driver than me tho!  ;)

wow. just crawled the thread and that is probably one of my favorite TJ's of all time. It is really close to something i would like to do. I've had a wrangler and now i'm running a GC. I want something in between that i can go all out on with long arms and maybe coil overs. all fabbed up to fit my needs.

My hats off to you ziptie. what a build.
