True history shows us that the stereotype of the American Indian being some more noble being before the "white man" came has been disproved many ways.
Yes they took slaves of other  American Indians, yes some tribes performed genocide on both Mexican and other American tribes. Even before "white Man" corrupted them.

True they were utilized most of the game they killed "by necessity".

As for Western Culture? I do not even know what that applies too? Is that pre-Lewis and Clark or 12k years before when the migration was still in progress? Or is it the hunting rites for game animals that did not even exists 150 years ago in the state? Or post Bolt decision?

Back on topic...the guys got no jail.  Sounds ridiculous to me.  So we made him pay some money and hunt in another state for a couple years.  Another slap on the wrist.

Has anyone heard if the chawawa poachers have gone to trial yet?

The trial got continued to late May...  I think the prosecutor is being hard on them and requesting a large amount of jail.  I see they added a 4th charge to Eric Spokely.  I'll keep you updated.

Thanks pope, Hope he gets time. I went to school with Eric back in the late 80's and even hunted with him a bit. Back then we were only 17-21, I helped turn him in along with about 7 other guys after finding out he was not suppose to be hunting in washington, He was charged with somthing like 32 counts and talked it down to 27. Some people just dont learn or don't want to.
