Despite the cost in gas, I went over to Twisp cause I just had too...found this three point and a spike...
Even if I didnt find anything, it would have been worth it.

Actually, that was just the way I felt (and I thought about that too when I was up there). My girlfriend found a spike shed (her first time going was on this trip)...I was proud of her...plus she spotted about 20+ deer from way off, using my binos. I am not sure if she is hooked or not, but she has a new appreciation for hunting. She thought people just went out to areas and killed whatever...she didnt know the work involved.
Also, she has a blister about the size of a .50 cent piece on her heel...

I'm not sure if thats sad or not. Glad you are enjoying my old stomping grounds.

lol...
we have a wiener....
now if you would be so kind as to point me to a lesser known spot, I would be grateful.
Actually, I usually go elsewhere, but it seemed the best spot for the little lady to cut her teeth on.

If you continued up the ridge until you were on to the top of that canyon and came to a big bench, thats always a good spot. Another canyon comes into it from the South. Follow that bench until it comes into another hill and thats where I killed a nice 4 point back in the day. Idabooner almost got one just across the gut from where you are standing. It was a foggy day and wet. The deer had really migrated in. That was avery nice day to be on the mountain. I've found alot of antlers where you are standing. I've also seen some dandies about January right there. I've seen at least 3 30 inch bucks within the area you are standing, and what is in that pic.

Note the hind end on that bugger. I decided to drag that bugger off that mountain. One of those learning curve things. Idabooner about lost his pants over it......yep, there is always a story.

Hopefully she is, then again its time to buy more glass, more clothes and another gun. Oh wait, she gets the old gun and you get a new one. NICE WORK.
Yeah like that ever happens.
