Monster Moose Sheds!
« on: May 15, 2008, 09:58:03 PM »
I met a guy today that is a shed hunting freak. So far this year he has over 250sheds and 60+ of these are moose sheds. He was kind enough to let me snap a few photos of the bigger ones. The photos do not do these things justice, they are huge! :o
This one is last years shed and so far he has not found this years. This is off of about a 185 class bull. It has a nice little drop coming off the back side that allows it to stand straight up. You can see the size comparison to some of the smaller sheds in the background.

This set is also a year old. He has found this bulls set three years in a row now in the same area. He said that this bull is going down hill fast. He said the first set he found off this bull would have squashed the state record.

The only problem is he doesn't keep them :bash: he sells them. If I found a set like that you wouldn't be able to pry them from my fingers!
