Resort Dollars by SPORTCO/NOOTKA BAY RESORT?
« on: January 17, 2011, 01:30:07 PM »
I have learned about this program by Sportco/Outdoor Emporium sometimes in December... I made some significant purchases in 2010, and according to the program, have around $400 in their bank to use - basically good down payment for a fishing trip. Did anybody use this benefit? I need some feedback from those who were there...
Thanks

I also got a letter about this. 400 is pretty good though! Are you wondering about the camp or the program?

I talked to them today, just recently... As far as program goes, I think I am clear about the deal.
I need to know how is the camp, fishing, etc... Maybe someone was there last year...

I think there talking about Moutcha Bay Resort. Its at the very inside of Nootka. While the fishing can be good if your timing is right, your only targeting a local run. I believe its about a 40 mile jaunt to open water. I have fished all over the West coast all my life and if you want consistent fishing you gotta really get outside. Like Tofino or the like.

It does look like a nice place to do a little fishing, wining and dining, eco tours and the like. First see if the trip is offered during prime time. Say August or there bouts.

But no, I have never been there...

Hmmm, seems like not many people are aware of this SPORTCO program. It is a resort in NOOTKA Bay - one facility on the water (island of some kind), and the other is on the shore/beach... I am going, so will see what happens...
