Methinks...someone doesn't like someone and decided to take it to the internet web forum to hash it out.
Just a hunch. I bet the someone that isn't liked is a member here and this has a lot to do with shed hunting in Chelan county.
Again...just a hunch.

Its amazing to me how arrogant and jealous people are when it comes to shed hunting. How fast a person will turn on another, how quick a person will claim an area and private property that doesnt belong to them. The posting of pictures that doesnt take a rocket scientist to figure out where they were taken and then brag about them. How about we draw more attention to it! The very people that bi*%$ about others and boast their arrogance are the very people that are going to ruin it for everyone!

What am I missing?

I think hit the nail on the head!

And I think that someone is worried that the other someone is going to find an antler before they do.  Who is the jealous one here?

Jackelope, are you psychic? You've narrowed it down to Chelan county so quickly.  :chuckle:

This is one of the main reasons I don't go out much.  It's not worth the hassle.  I agree with lowedog.  It was ruined years ago.  There is way to many people who take things to personal.  If you don't like how things are then maybe you shouldn't go out and look for sheds.  No reason to bitch.  grow a set get over it. Or man up and go out with the crowds.   :'( :'( :'(

I still enjoy it, although its a highway every were you go. There is always a chance of finding something and watching my dog look around and find em is a cool thing. I do get frustrated here and there, but I get over it and continue on down the path. THEY CANT GET EM ALL! :)

I have not posted any pics this year and I will probably just keep them to my self,  when it comes to sheds. I have learned my lesson way when it comes to sharing and posting pics, so I just enjoy em and they look good in my living room.

I just don't like the crowds.  Don't get me wrong, everyone has as much of a right to be there (assuming public ground) that I do and I certainly don't have anything against anybody for going out and looking - it's not "my" area any more than it's theirs - but I just find it a bit of a pain in the ass.  Especially those that have decided the area belongs to them.  I've run into it with mushroom pickers, too, even though I don't pick them.  They thought I might be picking them and confronted me on it even though it was Forest Service ground.  I had a friggin' rifle and orange vest on so I don't know what the guy was thinking...Point is that it can happen with anything.

I'll occassionally find a shed when I'm hiking or hunting and I'm always happy about it.  They're really cool, just not worth it to me.  If it's worth it to you, more power to you and good luck this year!

Just snowed two fresh inches last night! and its starting to snow again. I've learned through the past couple years not to take anybody out with me to the good spots. If I take anybody with me I take them to new places where i have never hiked. Just gotta hike harder and longer that's where the big ones are at!  :)

Any of you shed hunters use a dog ? I think that's pretty cool myself.

My dog will find them if they are fresh. Think he is attracted to the smell.

Yep just antlers. :twocents: People get really crazy about them though

Whats really sad is all the sleds running all over that country chasing deer and stressing them on their winter range. I think there should be a ban on sleds up there personally. That would save a lot of deer a lot of stress.
DBLDWN-How do you feel about sleds up there this time of year?

I enjoy shed hunting, and I don't get mad when I see others out. I understand it's a small world and only getting smaller. Theres nothing wrong with a little FREINDLY compitition. I dont claim any property other than my own, I don't Bi#$% about others, I will take pictures... good luck trying to find out where,I am proud not arrogant. BIG difference!
