Makes me mad....

So i was driving to basketball practice around 10 o clock on Monday morning. I had my .22 marlin with me because me and a friend were going to do some crow hunting after practice.. anyways on the way over to practice i saw a smaller animal cross the road in front of me and i thought it was a coyote.. So i was like alright cool maybe i can get a shot... It ran in right next to a logging road so i pulled in, shut the truck off and walked down the road about 200 yard .22 in had. I stop and look to my right and about 20 yards in the timber there it is! I put my scope on it and thought to my self that's not a coyote.. that's a bobcat! just as i was about to pull the trigger the damn thing ran off.. never saw it again.. Close call on the way to practice... it would of been my first bobcat! It was pretty exciting though! I just thought I would share with you all.

If that is school BB practice, better hide that rifle good under the seat.
Back when I was in school we didn't have to bother, they were fine.

  Be glad you got to see a bobcat. A lot of people go there whole life without seeing them. I also shadow what quadrafire said on the school deal. Be carefull with this subject. There has been a lot of good kids. Get into huge trouble when it comes to firearms on school ground. If it was a school practice. Make sure you park some where else and walk to the school so you are not on school grounds. Would hate to see you get introuble over it.

Yeah i took my gun to my friends house before practice. I dont want to get in trouble.. But you guys are right it was a pretty lucky thing! I was excited!!

I missed my first bobcat at 30 yards with a shotgun.     They can rattle your nerves when they sneak in on ya.  It still make me upset thinking about it.

I wish I could say I was just calling them in for fun.  I had one that came in out of season.  I just suck.

Location is more important than sound IMO but here is the one I almost always use.
