Nutria prices

I hear tell nutria may be the next big seller.Maybe just BS but one can still hope.I know we got quite a population here in thurston county.Easy to catch as well!Anyone else hear anything on this?

That would be cool. may have to go out and buy some more conibear traps. I wonder what would be considered a good price for one..ten bucks?

not quite sure why you would buy conibears...we can't use them w/o special permit.Swim throughs and racoon size cage traps!

For right now I think the OTC sales are the best place to market nutes. Still not worth a lot, maybe $3.

No. It is real easy to tear the belly open and make a mess. They take a good deal more pulling to skin and they are tender. Hard to pull from a gambrel without tearing in two and a little big to handle like a rat.
When skinning around the mouth it is hard not to hit the teeth and dull your knife.
Easy to flesh but not as easy as a rat.
Belly is the best part of the fur so take care with it.
Less then 26" are not worth much.
