Anti hunters are using this platform to comment to the WDFW.  Make sure they are not the only ones.

Naithan Kain I see plenty of geese and ducks all year long in WA. This month is no different than any other. Numbers are strong across the US and Canada. You can thank hunters for all the money they spend on licenses, tags and stamps for that. All that money goes for managing and maintaining habitat and wildlife. Anti hunters contribute almost nothing and would have mass starvation and disease kill many time more than hunters do, and far less humanly.

Might help pointing out lies, exaggerations, and other flaws in their statements.  Just dont make any threats, call names or lie or exaggerate yourself. Other than that I like to "debate" those people until they give up or loose the argument by making threat, calling me names or get caught in a lie.   :chuckle:  If they have tens guys telling them how way off base they are they might just go away.   :hello:

We ALL pay for crimes. In addition to all the same taxes you pay we pay for tags, licenses, stamps AND we are taxed on firearms, ammo and other sporting goods that goes twards wildlife management. I dont know how you thought that was some kind of argument against hunting but if you want less holes in signs? Stop letting the WDFW cut enforcement officers.

Correct, they mate for life but in the event that one dies the other one will go search for another mate.

Just a couple things I have read or picked up through animal husbandry.....geese usually select one mate and stick with that mate breeding season after breeding season... whereas ducks are into gang rape and group mating....geese if they lose their mate will pair up with a new mate the next breeding cycle.  Where it gets confusing is some swans and cranes have been known to not pair up after losing a mate...not all but some and this has been translated into meaning all by the anti's ... sort of like all wolves mate for life..well sort of but not the way they make it sound, wolves are not monogamous they get told by the alpha bitch who gets to breed who...lol

I've always found it extremely ironic that we hunters are constantly bashed by these Extremists.  As Sportsmen, we are the very front line of conservation, yet we are often accosted by the ignorant.  The best thing we can all do is be respectful, knowledgeable, and keep standing up for what we all believe in.
