its not as good of a hunt if you're in a weather dependent unit. I wish they'd put front stuffers in nov but its still a great hunt because like everyone has said there is less pressure. The hunt is for local deer. I saw many hunters where I was but only about half as many as modern so its a trade off. I did not particularly enjoy the west side late season my gun got wet and clicked when I dropped the hammer on a  last day spike  :bash: I do love shooting them though

Its a sleeper season, you will have no pressure and the bucks will 100% be there and not to spooked, in all the same spots you normally hunt.  I honestly think were you are wanting to hunt it is the best kept secret around and you guys should have a great hunt!

Thanks for the info, Bearhunter.  That's what I was wondering.  I was looking.... we could hunt the high hunt on the way over, maybe Pasayten, then trek off for some lower elevation hunt after the season begins.  That would be a lot of hunting!

Smoke Poles Rock!!!  I have Hunted with them very early in the heat and very late in the snow, I love my 300 win mag but will never go back.  Big bucks and less people, its a no brainer.

Nice.  Haven't looked at the whitetail seasons, but that got me thinking.  Nice rack.

I hate the cleaning.... But I love the seasons....  :chuckle:  Got a few elk with rifle.... Got a deer usually every year as well... Now I usually get my spike every year... And now I'm passing up deer I'd shoot in a heart beat during modern.... Hunt the entire season... Passed up four legal bucks... One was a 22" 2x3 at 73 yds.... Saw a huge 4x6 but could never get close enough for the shot.... Hunted everyday during late season... Passed 3 spikes and one 2 point.... Saw a 5 point @ 348 yds... Lost him during the sneek attack... Shot a fat and yummy doe on the last day....   :IBCOOL:
