I used these for a couple years:http://www.buy.com/prod/steiner-8x30-predator-pro-288/q/sellerid/10001650/loc/111/211117244.htmlJust upgraded so they're just my backups now, but they were good to me for years! Lightweight, and the low power won't hurt you it doesn't sound like.
Quite frankly the Vistas will do you fine, and they are on sale now for $125. The summits are the next step up and they are also almost %50 off or right at your price range of 200. I have literally beat my vistas to DEATH.
Ok, don't laugh y'all. I wan't the best binoculars I can get for around $200. We hunt muzzleloader in tree farms where you usually can't see very far anyway. Anyone got a tip for me on some good value binoculars.
Is the East side that much better? If it is I'm jealous and need to check it out.
Leupold Yosemite's. Just over $100, and amazing quality. I thought they were better that many in the $300-$400 range!
when miles' binos come int he mail i will definately be checking them out.
