Good morning shoot
«
on:
January 22, 2011, 09:49:31 PM »
Buddy and I made it out this morning. For the first time ever we split up and hunted two different ponds. Lucky for me, the one that he sent me to was where they wanted to be. Right at shooting time I had a group of three mallards come in, I stood up, fired three shots and three birds were dead. I was STOKED because that is my first triple or at least that I can remember. It was two greenheads and a susie. What made it even better was that one of the greenheads was banded!
We ended up pulling out 12 and had a great time! Beautiful morning, birds working, hanging out with a good buddy, a good dog... Doesn't get much better then that!

I don’t get the riddle either. Maybe it has something to do with the numbers of susies in the 1st photo.

If it is about the total number of susies then I hope he is just giving me crap about shooting two because we only had 3 total between the two of us and the other two were gadwalls...

Oop's....my bad. Sorry about that. Didn't really take a good look at the photo before firing off the riddle BS. I don't see many Gadwall's around here. I usually don't duck hunt until after Thanksgiving and have only shot 2 in 30 year's of hunting.
Congratulation's on the band, your 1st triple (those can be hard to get too) and a great hunt.
