British Columbia Grouse Season
« on: January 23, 2011, 04:06:04 AM »
Here in BC grouse season has been great, no matter what forestry road you take grouse are everywhere. They are the most tasty bird i think. Check out my pics, would love to see some washington grouse pics too! These pics are from 2010. Vancouver, Merritt, Kamloops and Prince George.

And i know everyone wants to see some bear poop from harrison lake BC.

Looks to be something wrong with the grouse in that last picture  :dunno:, I would not reccommend eating that one and I don't care how good you think they taste  :chuckle:.
As for Washington grouse we would like to show you some pics as well but it seems there are not as many in the woods anymore. They are still there just not like they used to be.

Help me out here...I moved to WA in 99 and just started hunting for grouse two seasons ago and am sort of grasping what is what of the species that we have (for sake of sanity lets just call either blue 'blues').

I see a  cock 'spruce' (charcoal and white flecked grouse) and at least two hen spruce, the funky bent bird is a F-up 'ruff'....

Thanks for the post!  Any idea what a non-res, US resident has to do to hunt BC? Cost?
