Many good reviews over on Archery Talk.  Supposed to be a sweet shooting bow and very fast.

Go see ROger at WIlderness Archery,  he has a nice one hanging on the wall for sale up there.  Go try it out.

I was told they aren't making bows anymore and you can't get parts.  Just something to think about.

I wanted to shoot one when I was shopping for a bow. No one around here carries them that I know of. Someone on here bought one last year.

Their site has new bows for 2011 and they were at the ATA.

Strothers didn't fold,  just a change in leadership.

If you are in West Seattle,  Wilderness is in Bow,  just north of Mt Vernon by a couple of miles.  www.wildernessarchery.us

I have been planning on investing in a SR-71 before next season. Those things are awesome!

I don't know anything about their bow line but reading that they changed hands & some thought they had gone out of business would make me a little nervous to buy their products. We live in a time where you have to be much more careful which companies you buy from. It would suck to have a bow with no support. Mike

From what I understand it is still the original owners.  Kevin Strother designed the bows and put his name on the company but was never an owner of the company I don't think.  He left and started K&K Archery with his wife.

Exactly... Kind of what I meant but didn't state it correctly.

Everything I've read and heard about them says the opposite of that ^. I've hear they are quiet and smooth?? Do you have one let.it.fly?

WOW... I have been right next to people trying them out and I thought they were smooth, quiet and fast.  I don't think there is a bow in the strothers line that is loud...

i dont own one. i was up at a shoot in bow, wa. forget the name of the shop, sorry  :dunno: . they had one i could shoot so they gave me three arrows. it only took 2 for me to decide i hated it. look everyone has diferent taste so dont jump on me. it was loud, tons of hand shock, dont remember how the draw felt. i was to worried that the thing was gona vaporize in my hand. could have been some super light arrows but i definetly didnt trust the situation.

Yes, something like 1500 a year.

I shoot a SR-71 and love it! Best bow in my opinion. And yes Kevin started his own company with his wife, right out of Coeur d'Alene.
