Is this a different strain from central asia or a hybrid, I see some gray partridge traits.
Also, I see cracked corn, are you able to balance your diets with local stuff? Many things available and the feed store prices are steep.

Its a Barbary Chukar (A.barbara). They are from North Africa versus the Pakistan area where our Normal Chuckar resides.
I feed a mixed diet. Their big treat is a shot of cracked corn. Good energy for winter. I don't think they are as tough as our Chukar, but their call is essentially the same. They are a tad bit smaller.

VERY COOL! Where did you get it? My bro-inlaw has some un used pheasant pens we want to fill up... Have to find the holes tho... I got some quail for him and in 24 hrs they got out!
holes must be pretty small...

Doesn't take much for a quail to get in or out of your pens. I got him out of the midwest. I should have hatching eggs this year. I won't have any adults.
