I'm fond of the 5mp Bushnell Trophy cams. the 8mp are junk so stay clear of them.

chasingame.com has alot of good honest reviews.

I have 2 Moultrie D40's.  They are OK but I would love them to be IR.  They use a flash at night and I'd like to be more sneaky.  Battery life is acceptable and they are waterproof enough.

i dont really have a price range. has to be waterproof and i want to be able to leave it in the woods for 3 weeks and have it not run out of battery. and no night time flash

You might look into the Wildview 3.0.
They are relatively cheap at $150 for a two pack and they come with two 2 gig cards. I buy rechargable "C" batteries at about $10 for two. You will need 4 per camera plus a charger for about $20 So for about $200 total you will have two cameras that take good daytime videos and pictures and ok night vids/pics with IR.

But if you really want battery life than I suggest the Bushnells.

Bushnells are good if you are concerned about size. They will however take white out photos which are night time pics where the picture appears to have a flashlight shined in it. Some have over sensitivity where it will just take a ton of pics in a short time but this can be resolved by sending it back to Bushnell. Most of these cams are made in China unless you buy a Reconyx which is made in the good ol USA but it very reliable but you pay a little more

I've had a Moultre I40 for 3 yrs and am happy with it. The longest soak I have had with it was 3 months and the batteries where still fine.

Also, seriously consider a lock-box of some kind.

Have you seen this 2 pak deal available anywhere lately? I was always thinking of buying it from Cabelas at that price, then they had the sale for $120 a couple weeks ago, and I haven't seen it listed on their website since.

I haven't looked since we talked about them. I just checked one of my new ones and had good daytime video and grainy (but tolerable) nighttime footage.
