I killed one that looked just like your first picture back in the mid 90's. I still talk about that bird and wished to heck that I would have had it mounted. Most beautifull bird I've ever put my hands on.

I agree with all of you.  In my opinion, out of all the Hybrids out there, the Mallard/Pintail drake has got to be ranked right up there.  I have never had the opportunity to even see one in the wild while I have been hunting, but have had the privelage to mount some.  Here is one I did a few months ago and the colors on these birds are awesome.  They are truly a beautiful bird.  John

Exactly my thought. Does it count against my 2 pintail limit or is it a mallard?  :dunno:
