Count the arrows
« on: January 29, 2011, 05:56:14 PM »
Some one went home with an empty quiver. These where all in a 3 yard circle and they were shot from across the cyn, about 100+ yards. My guess there was a buck bedded or something and they were shooting beyond belief

The 2 I found together today were the same thing, from the angle and direction they came from it was at least 100 yards.  Arrows are expensive, just goes to show you some people have more money than brains I guess.
I've hunted almost everyday of my life, the rest have been wasted.

A little odd.  They could just as easily recovered the arrows you would think.  Bedded down buck only 100 yards away.  After you are done being a dumb ass go get your arrows, huh?  dunno.  :dunno:

There was most likely snow on the ground.

Or they went home to get more arrows.  They could try that new Trijicon Accupin bowsight.  Just adjust the sight for bow speed and yardage and supposedly dead on even beyond 80 yards.

I don't know about anybody ese but I don't care how much snow is on the ground, how dark it is, I am not leaving without my arrows! :bash:  Heck, I even went to harbor freight to buy a cheap metal detector so I could find my lost arrows in the yard that I coudn't find. (that detecor paid for itself in the first night  :chuckle:)

Wow thats impressive or not. This is the first year I have got more than one arrow off. I believe the only reason I got two was the first was a hard hit and he started uphill then stopped. Giving a chance to kill him twice.
Remember that buck is climbing that Mt. every day!

Or they finally hit the damn thing and went to track it, and never came back for them?  Too far to be shootin!
