I got a phone call tonight from the taxidermist! My deer is finished! I had the 2007 3x3 mounted with the 2010 cape. I plan to go get him Saturday. Pics as soon as I can!

I mounted a 4x4 with eye guards, 23 inches wide in 2004 and haven't shot one nicer yet.  It was a great hunt and I dragged that deer for 2 hours with my daughter and a 17 yearold into camp before my husband even showed up to camp.  When he drove up it was hanging, dressed and ready for him to cape it for me.  When I draw a quality deer tag I may shoot a nicer one and I may not, this one was a general season deer.  I like the 3X3 but you did the hunt and know which holds the best memory.  I prefer to mount a deer with the original cape but this way in a sense you may have both on the wall with only one money wise.

Here he is! I am very very happy with how the deer turned out. Very nice work. I would have another animal done by Lazy Dog Taxidermy. I will post more once he is hung up, wanted to get these pics up. Thanks to my wife for holding him up for photos!
