I like that gun but the bolt being burried in your sholder would cause a problem :twocents: I go 300 wsm and love it! three shots three elk! just saying  ;)
Granted the ability to cause a A nuclear explosion that produces a rapid release of energy from a higher power resulting in the sudden and catastrophic demise of a thread.

.338 win mag with 225gr accubonds or a .338 lapua with 300gr matchkings would be what Id look toward :twocents:

I was just looking at the bolt, being so far back and seeing a problem cycling rounds, but I would have to be behind it to know for sure  ;)

When I first moved to WA I had the same problem. I happened upon this site (luckily) asked around and read alot of the posts here...in the end I chose a Tikka T3 Hunter 300 WSM. It shoots 180gr Accubonds sub MOA outta the box with the Leupold VX3 L 3.5x10x50. Now I just have to bag my first elk: Only got out the first 4 days of the opener due to work.
