Hoping for some help with a new stock
« on: February 01, 2011, 10:07:43 AM »
I bought a Boyd's for my rifle and am working on getting it fitted as it came "semi-finished". So far I am happy with the results however my gun has a heavier barrel than some other guns of the same model. Is there a better way to open the channel up or is it just a sandpaper show?

Sandpaper is the only way to do it that doesn't risk damage to the stock that I know of.
The reason there are so many Ruger upgrades is because they're necessary.

I know sandpaper is slow but you wont go overboard that way and end up with a big gap between the barrel and stock.
