This is one more step toward delisting, we are getting there slowly but surely. People around the country are waking up and smelling wolf in their coffee.

Read how many years it has been since Michigan reached the recovery goal. Feel free to pass around the pdf.

60,000 Michigan hunters join the wolf war with Big Game ForeverKevin Rinke, an avid sportsmen who lives in Michigan but loves to hunt out west and at home, set up a nice meeting with the largest hunting/fishing and conservation group in Michigan, MUCC with more than 60,000 paid members.
Erin McDonough, Executive Director of MUCC and her team is excited to join the BGF team.
MUCC has teamed up with Big Game Forever to support the 60 plus members in Congress, and seek much broader support in the Midwest and upper mid west to do the right thing: have Congress pass a law that returns wildlife management to each and every state.
This incredible amount of pressure has lead to the following actions recently:
1. The Dem. Senators have told the Animal Rights folks to settle the Montana and Idaho law suit with Malloy, or risk seeing the entire ESA changed.
2. The Dept. of Interior has decided NOT to appeal the Judge Johnson ruling in Wyoming, and is working to accept the Wyoming plan.
What comes out of items one and two at this point, is anyone’s guess.
We do know this: Without the HUGE THREAT of HR. 509 and S. 249, most likely none of this would be happening. BGF will not surrender until this wolf war has been won with sufficient victory to allow herds to be rebuilt – those herds already destroyed by wolves – and prevent the further destruction in other herds in all states.
IN reality, some of the negotiations in items one and two are being done to try and take the pressure of the leaders of 509 and 249, which we will not allow. It appears some sportsmen groups are willing to take a partial victory and go home. Big Game Forever is not willing to do that.
Daily Big Game Forever is building more and more support across the country to solve this problem, the right way, for all states.
If you have any questions, please email, and thanks for your support.
More and more real warriors step up every day to win this fight, once and for all.
Thanks Erin, ED of MUCC and Mr. Rinke for joining the team.
When BGF hired Ryan Benson, a brilliant attorney with a BS in Political Science and Law Degree from Harvard, we knew we had a chance to win this hard fight.
Ryan has done an incredible job, has an incredible strategy and is trusted and is sought ought by many leading members of Congress on how to proceed on this issue.
See the attached add in the upcoming MUCC magazine.

http://graywolfnews.com/pdf/michigan_wolf_ad.pdfDon’t Let Congress Throw Michigan To The Wolves! In 1992, the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service established population goals of
100 wolves in Michigan and Wisconsin to determine the population recovered
and able to be removed from the Federally Endangered list.
That goal of 100 wolves was met in 1994 and has steadily climbed above
100 every year since. Currently, Michigan’s wolf population is
more than 1200% above the required levels for delisting.
MICHIGAN HAS AN APPROVED MANAGEMENT PLAN.
IT’S TIME FOR THE BIOLOGISTS TO BE ALLOWED TO DO THEIR JOBS!
The Endangered Species Act has achieved its goal -- wolves are successfully
restored in Michigan. Now, it’s time for management control to be in the hands
of the state.
And yet Animal Rights and Anti-Hunting organizations continue to twist and
warp the ESA to their own liking, actually using the system as a fundraising
tool to fund their legal teams! It’s not about science, it’s not about the
longevity of a species – It’s about money!
ACT TODAY!
There are two bills in Congress that would put wolf management back in the
hands of science – H.R. 509 and S. 249. If you believe that the Endangered
Species Act should be administered based on science and not controlled by
high-dollar lawyers and animal rights groups, visit
www.mucc.org to learn more
and for assistance with contacting your U.S. Senators and Representatives.
