Saw my neighbor headed to the car with a cased rifle. Asked him if he was going shooting. He said he was headed to the pawn shop to sell some guns. They offered him: * $125 for a Model 700 Safari Grade 375 H&H with 3/9 Leupold and fancy sling (shot less than 10 times in mint condition) * $100 for a model 70 youth in 234 hunted with once * $50 for a beat up 670 in 270 with an old 4X weaver * $75 for a Ruger 9mm pistol, nickel plated I think, and nearly newI told him he was getting jobbed and offered to take them and sell them. He didn't want the hassle, he only wanted them out of the house. he finally offered me the ultimatum: Pay him what the pawn shop would, or he'd go pawn them.Needless to say, I made room in my safe.Hey, anybody in the market for a 375 H&H magnum.........

#2 12 years ago or so picked up a sporterized 6.5x55 swede at a yard sale for $65, wife shoots sub MOA groups with it using cheapo silver box federals.
