Thats a nice looking pistol on the website, did you get the "standard" or the "wood" model?  What did it run ya if you don't mind me asking?
I didn't say it was your fault, I said I was blaming you.

PA BEN, I've had my eye on one of those pistols for a while, let us know how it shoots!

h2ohunter, how does that little carbine shoot? I've heard good and bad about them but the only time I've been in the vicinity of one the guy was burning through ammo as fast as he could load magazines.

FWIW, he was running Federal from a Wally World bulk pack through his.
The reason there are so many Ruger upgrades is because they're necessary.

I have had many pistols over the years. In the .22lr category, I''ve had the Beretta Neos, Sig Mosquito, Walther p22, and the Ruger 22/45 MK III. This gun is by far the sexiest, best built, and one of the most accurate I''ve used. This gun rivals the MK III and the Buck Mark (brother-in-laws has one) in accuracy. My GSG-1911 has now replaced the above mentioned guns as my primary .22lr pistol. It is very well built, eats every cheap block ammo I throw at it, and feels like any other high quality 1911. The only reason I am not giving it 5 stars is because the magazines are pricey and hard to find. If you''re a fan of the .22lr pistol or the 1911, this is a must buy. Reviewer Location: OH The gun is very nice and shoots well. No jams or any problems except it shot too high. I had to put on the highest front sight to bring the group down. This was with federal bulk pack from wally world. Three front sights are provided and changing them is fairly easy, just don''t loose the tiny allen wrench and set screws. 43 of 47 found this review helpful NoYesWas This Review Helpful?Other Products From This Manufacturer

That looks really good, will it's frame accept a standard 45 slide too?

Over the fact that his old design is still in use albeit modified and refined?

Schwartz safety is a refinement? Extended beavertails?... OK, ambidextrious safeties are ok. Dovetails for replaceable sights are good. Lowered and dropped ejection ports are good. But external extractors? Flared mag wells? Double stacked frames?  A huge problem is the mas production of frames and slides that are not to the original specs so there's no consistency so parts don't interchange.

JMB would never have approved of MIM parts.

Shot it at the Gun Club today. 1" groups. Shot about 50 rounds out of my 1911-A1 45 ACP before I shot it, feels the same but lighter w/no kick. BTW, my 45 1911 is a norinco and wilson combat parts drop right in.

Well the Schwartz safety seems to be alright provided you put your pistol back together correctly? No argument on the MIM parts. What is bad about external extractors?

Good to hear it worked well and was accurate, I'm really tempted by one of these now!

I'm going to shoot off a rest and adjust the sites next time. It should be a lot tighter.
