Interesting! I saw a cow moose north of Pomeroy once, near the Snake River, or for those familiar with the area it was next to Deadman Creek.

Maybe, but i doubt it  :dunno:

My uncle saw a calf last spring by its self...and that was centered between Waitsburg, Prescott and WW

They will flourish there because there are no more elk left to compete with.

With that being said, there must be no moose in the colockum, since that is where all the elk moved to from the blues. :chuckle:

The Lewiston paper had a picture of the meese and a sentence that said they were running around WW.  The picture they used was the one with the cow and two calves running through a neighborhood and the DFW truck in the background.  Was going to post something about it but got sidetracked by colockum and his disinformation campaign.

that cow has been around walla walla for awhile. I've heard of it having a calf there that got hit by a train and one that got hit by a car in the last couple of years. And it's stays around walla walla. No onw knows where the bull is that breeds it though. Everyone just sees the cow. If it leaves the town there are elk for it to compete with.

There was a small bull right by Chief Timothy State Park on Hwy 12 just west of Clarkston a few years back. He was standing right on the side of the road watching the world go by. Not sure where he came from or how he got sidetracked there...

my sister lives pretty much next door to 3 rivers winery on the 'old' highway and they've seen the moose on their 20 acres several times in their pasture and in the creek.  one of my nieces says she saw a 'moose with sticks on its head' but she was 6 or 7 at the time.  that said... there are cows and calves running around, so there has to be a bull somewhere!

There have been quite a few bulls spotted in the blues, one pretty good one too.

A mushroom picker found sheds from one last year.

I looked for sheds from one bull last year with no luck but I found a couple of areas that are thick with sign, old and new.

kinda cool :)

I have seen the cow and calves several times out by the "old highway" have never seen a bull. As said before, it is a safe bet there is a bull around. I have also seen a cow out at the Tucannon lakes.

This cow ( and a bull in the trees) was up near the Little Tucannon river last fall.
It never changes, but it is always different.

I wish there were moose all over our great state. I think there are plenty of areas where they would survive and thrive...
