My Bow weight was 42 lbs when I started bowhunting in 82. Smokey set me up with xx75 2013s and cut on impact Bear Broad heads that he sharpened to a point. With in the first year I had shot a big Rosevelt 4x4 bull, Reccord book bear and mule deer. I've worked up to 50 lbs and stayed at that and am shooting a 400 grain arrow tipped with a 125 grain cut on impact broadhead. 3 things will make you a successful bowhunter, practice , scouting and keeping the shots within 40 yards., If you're thinking about getting back into bowhunting catch one of the Bpwhunter Education classes taught in the state, they're fun and educational!
