Knotty Duck Decoys - New wigeon spinner
« on: February 11, 2011, 07:12:04 AM »
I just wanted to give those a heads up that like to pick up new gear.  Knotty duck decoys has worked with Blue Collar decoys and come out with a wigeon decoy that they have made into a jerk cord spinner decoys.  They also have a new goose and duck mold as well.  You can see them at the Portland Sportsman show if your down that way.

Sounds like something to add to the wish list.

Question? What are your experiences using the spinning wing decoys for geese? I avoid using them w/ dark geese but I can see maybe it is worth it for snows.

What are others experiences? Thanks-

Guess i better buck up and get a widgon one.. It always seems the first year or 2 of a differnt kind of decoy works best for jsut a short while..  :twocents:

I currently use the aerooutdoors spinning wing duck. A couple things pup out at me that I like about this model. First is that it seems that the wings would be easier to attach and take off then the aero version. Second, I like how you can use it in two directions as the aero you can only have facing towards you. Third, I like how the bands and everything are accessible and easy to change out if needed. The only bad thing is that it appears that it might leave them open to getting caught on stuff in your bag during transport and such.  :twocents:
