Which silhouettes ?
« on: February 12, 2011, 09:12:37 AM »
I'm looking to add some Canada goose silhouettes to the spread.

Found these but there doesn't seem to be any reviews on them.  Anyone ever use them?

Then there's the Real Geese brand and that's about it.

Any recommendations?

for hunting the west side in the early season or just when ever I would rather have 4 - 6 full body geese in my spread than a dozen silhouettes.  its really easy to over decoy in many situations canadas :twocents:

as far as those particular decoys go: as long as they are water proof they look as good as anything else out there.

I use Real Geese, Outlaw and Jenny Vane sillouettes. What you're looking at is similar to the Jenny Vanes. Look good and will be weather proof. Decently priced also. Buy em.

hows the uv (reflectivness) on them? had a friend bring some older real geese, from what he told me, out a couple years ago to add to our full bods. looked good early but as the day got brighter they got real shiney compaired to the rest of the spread. birds wanted nothing to do with us untill we pulled them. i havent used silhouettes since. have not seen any of the newer stuff used.
