What batteries do you use?
« on: February 12, 2011, 04:00:51 PM »
I was just wondering what brand batteries do you find work the best. I am talking about AA batteries. I try and buy all my electronics for hunting and hiking to use the same batteries. I usually buy the Costco Kirkland brand because they're cheap and you get a ton of them but it seams they don't last too long. I use these in my GPS, headlamp, camera, and my radio.

Duracell rechargeable's.
Everything I own AA has them in it.  Around the house stuff too.
When it comes time to go out in the woods, some of the stuff in the house doesn't work anymore.  She understands.  :chuckle:

Agree. I keep lithium in all my hunting gear... Lighter, last longer, way worth it IMHO.

Lithium in the Nikon.  Copper top Duracell's in the  4D cell Maglite and 2 AA mini mag, Lithium in the 3xAA Headlamp.  Too much bad luck with the Bunny. Not picky about the car key Fob or the glucose monitor..

Bought some black EverReady's at the Chevron on Snoqualmie Pass, just before a midnight hike to Snow Lake, 2 4packs...all went dead in 10-20 minutes or less.  Nature took pity and pushed a full moon up in the sky. Put the headlamp away... :chuckle:
