Ryoshi is right about the trip to Hood River being one that would pay huge dividends. It is the closest traditional-only shop. And going to anyplace that doesn't have a traditional guy to help isn't going to do much good. There is one traditional archery pro at Cabela's in Lacey but you would have to call to find out when he is working to be sure you get to talk to him.
You don't have to have an elevated rest on a recurve unless it has a flat shelf. And if it does a rasp can fix that.
You would do well to go the the shoot at Flint Tip Archers this weekend in Enumclaw and ask someone there for help. Most of the members there are traditional archers. The range is on State Route 410 across the highway from the one golf course green that is visible from the road, just east of town, north side.
