I 100% recommend Ireland farms and his stud ben!! I have one of his pups and she is just a go getter in the field and a gaint luv bug at home very relaxed, calm and easy going. In the field she is driven to do her job its all business out their water fowl or upland. I have even see her point a few time!! Great water entrys and was so easy to train a great all around dog. She would and could do great in the comp. but we just havnt gotten that far yet, she will be doing dock dogs this year as she can lunge a mile and seems to love to get air!!! really any of his dogs would be great, Ben is just my favorite he also has a great female Whidbey!!! Really all his dogs Rock but those are my favs!! Good Luck!!
Ben & Whidbey are an example of what Lee produces at WRL. Lee does all the important genetic testing as well to assure that you are not only getting a pup with a nice hunting pedigree, but a pup that won't have health issues down the road. No matter where anyone gets their pup, always make sure that the breeder does the important health clearances. There could be a whole new thread on the breeders that don't, but the responsible breeders job isn't to be negative about other breeders, but to educate clients on the importance of getting a quality bred pup with the proper health screenings done on the parents. A $400 pup with hip dysplasia is a much bigger mistake than a $700 pup without.
