s&w 629 classic in 44mag is my vote, Its hard to beat the smith's.

Don't do it! Don't fall victim to the .429 Mag! ;) :chuckle:

I've had a couple of 44 mags, but none of them stuck around for very long. I'm partial to the 45 Colt. No good reason though since the 44 mag is a great round. Even though is only .429 caliber. :tung:

i picked the 5 and a half inch barrel. The other two lenghts just looked funny to me.
Anyone that thinks a Glock is better than a 1911 paints his toenails.

I just got my first 44 mag. I ended up getting the S&W Model 629 classic with the 6.5" barrel and full underlug.

I put 50 rounds through it this weekend, and it is a shooter! It is more accurate than I am. Handles and points well, and recoil was not an issue. I am very pleased with my purchase.  :twocents:

I've had a S&W 629 in 6" for 25 years.  That is an outstanding revolver.  I love it. Just my opinion.

Carried a 629 Classic 5in barrel.  Best handgun I ever held and I've lost count, had so many sometimes I see a gun and remember oh yeah I had one of those :chuckle:
