Use the mag 11's or musket caps.

But, you didn't answer the question:

are the no 11 caps better than the musket caps?

I'd like to hear more opinions.   :dunno:

It all depends on who is answering the question ;) I like musket caps 1000:1 over a number #11 cap.

you can use wax to seal around the edge of the cap to make it completely waterproof.

That sounds like a good idea. Do you use something like bore butter or is there a specific wax you prefer?

Ok. I have some bees wax for bow strings that should suffice.

I happen to prefer the number 11 magnum caps by RWS. Never had a hang fire...knocking on wood.  I have recently switched over to the Musket caps only for ALL of my hunting partners have and now I'm constantly reloading my cappers...and I do Carry several cappers.  Either way you go...carry at least two cappers if not 4.  You never know when you may leave one in the truck, or your partner leaves one in the truck, or you drop your capper into a puddle...just a good idea and habit to Carry an few extras.
