Robins are always a good sign! Once you see them hoping around in your yard trying to pull up worms you know that spring is close.

I grew up in Wisconsin and the Robin is the state bird, we always knew that spring was near when they showed up and they revitalized our spirit knowing the long hard winter was finally over !!! Good sign !!!

They don't ever leave PNW, I see them all year here !!!  :IBCOOL:

I grew up in MN and Lived for many years in the West central part of the state. It was very common to see Robins in the dead of winter. if they have a food source they often won't leave. Berries and bird seed are eaten a lot. Here in the river valley near Nine Mile Falls, WA we have them year round as well.

I've been seeing them for a while. Been hearing the frogs at night for the past 2 weeks also.

They must have made it to the eastside, because I had about a bushel basket of mountain ash berries on my deck yesterday. What a fricking mess!
They come in and go crazy--getting drunk and flying into the windows.

Anybody ever make Mt ash wine?? gotta be good stuff
