New To Bow hunting need Help!!!!
« on: February 22, 2011, 04:32:19 PM »
Hey every one im new to bow hunting and need help. Frist off im not new to bows, im in the Archery Club @ CWU and my progress has made me want to move to the next level, ELK. I need some help finding a bow for under $400, the one i have is old and not very good so im gonna use it for bowfishin. It would be great if i could get the bow already loaded up so i dont have to buy the comonents. Im looking new or used so if any of u have an older bow for sale i might be interested.

Craigslist always has a bunch, can get packages under 3 years for close to your price range. See why they are selling, how much use , etc. Lots of them state just bought & didn't get around to using it. Make sure you measure your draw length & shoot some bows so you know about what you want in a setup. I would meet at a shop & have them look it over & shoot it yourself. Good luck. Mike

I bought one from them also. Service was very good, but, they did not set my poundage like I asked. They set it at 53 #s instead of 60#s like I asked. Also, the bow had a date of 2006 on it when they said it was a new Bear Tracker for 2010. The 2006 date was from the original setup of the bow, so I think they lied to me. I had mine setup in Chewelah and Red ( the owner ) called Bear and they said I got a 2006 bow. All in all, for my first bow I paid $400 w/o arrows and feel I was screwed by them, but still like the bow.
I couldn't care less about what anybody says..............
