Agree with that.  My stepdad was a Spokane Indian.  On that rez (at least back in the 80s) tons of whitetails are killed regularly from June through the end of December.  Deer numbers there were not high, but every year my dad (who was one of the few tribal hunters back then who hunted off the roads - he hiked, still hunted and LOTS of tree stands) killed at least one big whitetail.  To be fair, most of those buck were shot in the rut.  But man, for the deer numbers (low densities) there was a surprising number of big bucks.

Incredible buck.  It makes me wonder though why the colville res keeps pumping out monsters even when the rest of the state is so far down.

and some of those you see are not shot on the rez just in 101. When you can drive around with a rifle for months thru the peak of rut

and a bunch of those giant whitetails are off rez. My buddy had 2 indians trying to set up on him while he was in his stand with rifles!

Pretty common, many areas that consistently produce big deer have generally low densities.

@Boneaddict your last couple posts pretty much summed up a successful management plan that's being operated by the Colvilles.

It would be nice if a similar structure were in place somewhere else for the good of the species for future generations to enjoy.

I Follow them on facebook and Instagram and have only seen a couple dead wolfs over the last 3 years so it doesnt really seem to me like they're stacking them up like everyone makes it out to be I'd like to see some actual numbers is why ive asked, going off of social medias posts isn't what I would consider a reliable source of data.

You can’t assume that the pics posted on social media are the full numbers. They could be going around hound hunting hard and just not saying anything.
