Pateros Panoramic - Then And Now
« on: February 25, 2011, 07:44:00 PM »
This pics for those folks that always go through Pateros to head up the Methow.  This is what it used to look like, pre - Wells Dam.
It's not lined up perfectly, I need to take the pictures from a different spot again.

Cool, what year is the "then" pic?
I've hunted almost everyday of my life, the rest have been wasted.

Hmm.. sometime before 1967.   :chuckle:

I looked it over with some folks and I think they said either 61 or 62.

Amazing how things change
Granted the ability to cause a A nuclear explosion that produces a rapid release of energy from a higher power resulting in the sudden and catastrophic demise of a thread.

Hey maybe you could keep the area a little more on the QT as some of us like the fact it's not over crowded.
The only man who never makes a mistake, is the man who never does anything!!
The further one goes into the wilderness, the greater the attraction of its lonely freedom.

so when was the "now" picture taken? There is now a HUGE eyesore they call a hotel where the rv'ers used to park and they "updated" the superstop. I don't like that thing at all. Creates a huge block on the town and looks like crap anyways.

I think I took that panoramic picture two years ago.  I'll go and retake it again and try and get the perspective closer to the original.
