2011 AK Moose
« on: February 26, 2011, 08:33:03 AM »
Anyone heading with a guide up to AK this year? I can't believe how spendy it is to go with a guide. Cheapest I found at the sportsman's show was like $13,500. Seems like quite a lot for one animal. I'm thinking DIY has gotta be the best idea.

Just thought I would let everyone know that I got very lucky and drew out my first choice for AK Moose!!!! Countdown to September begins!

Pretty lucky since it was my first time putting in. More info will be posted in the following weeks so stay tuned.

AK still has a random lottery draw. No point system so you had as good a chance to draw as a guy who has been putting in for 10 years.

Good luck! Hope yu whack a big boy

Still has a random draw for now but that will be changing in the future. Michael you should do good, I hunted not too far from there on the Koyukuk river.

Have fun. Is Alaska going to a draw system? For what animals?
