Anyone know when the WDFW does the drawing for the Incentive Tags? Just curious and couldn't find anything on the website?

There have been a few people who drew an incentive tag and have posted about it on this board. Do a search for "incentive" and you will probably find them.

A member on here had it year before last.  I think he drew, then became a member and then was helped on the hunt by fellow members.

It has instructions right on the actual tag "Wait til mid-December (when those pesky archers leave), assemble a posse, head to the Entiat."   :chuckle:

what are the inccentive tags? Is that where they call you saying you've been drawn to go shoot a deer or elk where they've been tearing up farm land? My dad has gotten 2 phone calls asking him to go shoot a cow elk last spring. He turned them down because he didn't want to shoot a pregnant cow.

Assemble a posse? That's so old school... You want to take full advantage of it and hire a pilot to take you previewing from a helicopter. That way you don't have sore legs when you ride up on the snowmobile to shoot it. :chuckle: :chuckle:

I think you are referring to depredation tags.

They should change the name from incentive hunt to "group hunt".

I never knew that. Is it on the back of the tag? How big of a posse is allowed?

Depends on how bad you want the "big one"...

As it gets closer to the end, the posse seems to grow in numbers.  Really it's all about the friendships that are formed though, and not the actual trophy.

Should start a reality show about it.

I keep getting these incentive tag holders mixed up with the raffle tag holders. :bash:
