do you guys look for shed locally or travel?  i've never really looked for sheds,  but might start, just for fun.  i go hiking quite a bit,  and there's lots of deer in the areas i hike.

well I'd be glad to go with you if you'd like a partner. I do both local and some travel.

how often do you go?  how long are your average hikes?  most of my hikes are local,  i tried looking for shed in one of the areas, but no luck,  the other areas i go to are very open and seem like really hard areas to find sheds  :dunno:

were both in tri cities so I guess it's local for both of us. Haha. Idk just depends on how long I want to hike and how far. If I have to drive a ways then I usually like to hike my butt off. Haha. I like to try to go at least once a week. I didn't find any yesterday and couldn't go today because of the wind.

The mule deer I saw yesterday still had headgear on.  Usually it's around the second week of March that I see the last bucks still having antlers.

The only sheds I can find lately are in my man cave.

The real shed hunting dosnt start for another month, these deer sheds are just for a warmup. I am pretty much done with that and on to the real thing soon. :)
