870 12ga youth stock and forearm length
« on: February 06, 2011, 12:11:53 PM »
Has anyone purchased the Remington 870 youth stock kit for a 12ga.? My son needs the shorter pull length but also a longer forearm (closer to the action). I have been looking online and I'm seeing different pictures and I can't tell if the forearm is longer. The kit shown on the Remington site looks longer then the standard, but it does not list a length. Just want to ask before I purchase one and have it shipped.

im not sure about the youth stock but when i needed my 870 shorter for the same reason my dad thought he would do the same thing for me  :) but after he thought about it he said he would just cut off about a 1.5 inches off my wood stock and sand down the but pad! it worked good and gave me the shorter gun and made it way more comfterable for me to shoot after that i just bought the camo synthetic one for mine because the youth one was the same price so my  :twocents: would be just cut a little bit off and just buy a synthetic one

just my  :twocents: though

Send an email to TESTAR77.  I recently sold him a youth 870 in 20ga. I'm sure he'd measure for you.
