Me personally I would get a stabilizer sooner then later, that front counter balance can effect how you shoot.  Just my  :twocents:

Turkey choke,
Search archerytalk.com. You have to wade through knee deep s@#t sometimes but I have learned a ton from that site.

(turkey feather) robin hooded that one! this is embarrasing to say but i have been bow hunting 3 years now pursuing turkeys, deer, elk, a few grouse lol! i have not killed anything in 3 years! i most definately have had my chances and at bigger bucks than i ever did with a rifle as a kid, and  bulls if i ever could draw a tag! and yet for whatever reason human error or twig or silent but deadly fart etc . . . this last year i think two human errors on the same buck twice! and on the buck of my lifetime also! i had never practiced in case they saw me draw!? and started walking right when i was gettin settled to shoot so have fun and remember every experience is exactly that EXPERIENCE good or bad! hope you have more good!

Welocme to the addiction!

Before as a rifle hunter... you see your animal... hunt over.  Now you see your animal and the hunt begins!

I like that analogy! It is so true. I used to only rifle hunt and now that I bow hunt, you look at the woods and your surroundings in a whole different way!

Is that the G5 smoke package? I shot it and it seemed to be a great bow for the money.  I made the mistake of shooting the g5 primal...fell in love and now my bank account is feeling the effects.  I love the bow though and I am sure you will love the set up.

Nice setup!! I shot the G5 a few times and noticed the Slick Draw. It's definetly a nice bow, now all you have to do is bagg something with it. Good luck.

congrats on your new bow.One thing is dont set your bow up where you are pulling to many pounds.IT makes it to difficult to shoot as much as you might like to you will get burned out quick and might injure yourself. its alot more fun when you can shoot as much as you like.I can shoot 70lbs without any

problems but i shoot 58lbs because its much more comfortable and I shoot everyday im much more accurate and i can hold my bow at full draw as long as i need to being gracefull and smooth and accurate at 58lbs for me is much much better that straining and shaking at 70lbs and missing the target or animal have fun shoot straight and enjoy
