New Camo-KUIU
« on: March 02, 2011, 03:57:20 PM »
New Camo on the market named KUIU.  It is equal to Sitka or better.  There is no middle man and you can only buy it on line.  www.kuiu.com

IMO, the prices are ridiculous.  Not worth that much.  I'm sure the product is good but let's be real with the prices.

Designed by the founder of Sitka, Jason is building the "ultimate" hunting clothes.  With their prices comparable to Sitka and even cheaper on some lines, KUIU will be very busy for a very lime time, IMO.

Has anyone ever tried this gear (Kuiu) on the Westside. I am wondering about the Camo pattern on the Westside of the state. Looks like it might be better for the East side???

pattern means nothing...all about hunter and what we see... a flannel shirt works the same as camo on game..all about breaking the outline up

At least it's made in North America, not China like Sitka is...

I have some of the attack pants, coat, vest and shirts I'm happy with everything but the shirts are kind of itchy I like the feel of the sitka shirts a little better.  The pants and coat is great ill probably by another pair of pants dries super quick feels better than cotton.

I have both merino base layers, the beanie, the vest and the primaloft coat.  A very nice layering system and I wore the base layer merino in the high country on my last scouting trip. The performance was great (hiking in temps in lower 70s).  I haven't splurged on the outerwear.  I have some riverswest rain gear (their lightest version) for the wet days.  Works for now.

The base layers are going to my next purchase.  Been reading a lot of good reviews about it.
