Marking on your photos

Just wondering how you place lines or arrows or circle something you want to point out on a photo ??

Say there is something specific in a photo and you want to point it out to someone, how would you put in an arrow or circle the item right on top of your picture ??

Open the picture in paint and you can add lines or text or whatever.
